Adventure Of Scuba
Scuba Diving takes us to a different realm of adventure. For SCUBA enthusiasts like me, it is like journeying into an imperturbable environment—untouched, undocumented and unexplored. Diving now has grown to be a phenomenal recreational activity enjoyed by millions of people across the globe. And those who have tried diving will agree that the experience is both surreal and other worldly. Imagine being able to explore the vastness of the oceans and seeing firsthand the beauty of the underwater environment that most people only see in pictures and films. Imagine being able to discover what lies beneath the surface of those calm waters. There’s a shipwreck at the bottom of the ocean, imagine being able to go there, map, envision and formulate your own answers as to why that ship sank based on what you saw. The probabilities are endless, right? Those are mainly the reasons why I love SCUBA diving—it opens up a world of adventure for me, it gives me a different sense of freedom; something for me to enjoy underwater.
It’s A Cool Thing To Do
Scuba diving for me is such a cool sport. And since I love it so much, I decided to make a career out of it. You are familiar with the saying “find what you love to do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life”, right? Well this is my very own version of that; I get to do what I love, earn a bit, and I get to PIF (pay-it-forward) my knowledge and experiences to those who are interested. So all in all, being a scuba instructor is a great thing.
What’s A Typical Day
A typical day in my life as a SCUBA instructor starts with a whole bunch of questions surrounding the activity itself. Believe it or not, a lot of people are still mystified by how scuba diving goes. It’s not that they are afraid entirely, it’s just that they are a bit overwhelmed by the fact that they will be submerging themselves deep in unfamiliar waters, so to speak. So for the purposes of enlightening others with how this works, I’ve decided to post here the answers to a few common questions I’m frequently asked about scuba diving.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Is it hard to learn?
Answer: Well, no. It is pretty easy, if you know some basic swimming, and you know how to float, kick and what have you, then you should have no problems with diving. Oh yeah, before I forget, if you know how to follow directions (especially those coming from your instructors) then you should be okay.
Question: Will sharks eat me?
Answer: This is a very typical question, and no matter how many times I get asked of this, it still never fails to make me smile. The answer is no, sharks won’t attack divers. Humans are not the natural prey of sharks, and I’m pleased to say this, most marine animals are very timid creatures. It is agreed that of course they may sting or bite, but that’s because they feel aggravated and their natural defense mechanisms shoot up. So number one rule when scuba diving, do not attempt to aggravate the marine creatures you come across with.
