PADI Scuba Diving Certification Westfield NJ
A couple of weeks ago we had a PADI scuba diving certification Westfield NJ class with four students. We began the day with basic pool skills such as the two hundred yard swim and the ten minute water tread. Finally after we set up all the equipment and discussed different equipment issues that can arise, we began the PADI scuba diving certification Westfield NJ class doing skills in the shallow area of the pool.
Shallow Pools Skills Done First
The shallow skills we covered were: snorkel clearing, snorkel to regulator and regulator to snorkel exchange, cramp release, breathing from an over-flowing regulator, hand signals, disconnecting low-pressure inflator hose, manually inflating bcd.
We Followed Up With Deeper Water Skills
After we mastered the shallow water skills, then we continued the PADI scuba diving certification Westfield NJ class by doing the deeper water skills: hovering, fin-pivot, out of air skill, removal of scuba unit and replacement at depth, removal of weights and replacement of weights at depth, partial and full clearing of mask, removal of mask and breathing for thirty seconds and underwater swim without a mask, putting it back on and clearing the mask of water.
Successful Mastery Of Confined Water Skills
The participants were very successful mastering the skills of the PADI scuba diving certification Westfield NJ class and later in the morning we all covered the academic portion of the PADI open water certification. The students received passing scores in the scuba diving theory exam and they have successfully qualified to attend the open water checkout dives at Dutch Springs PA, where they will repeat the same skills in an open water setting. We at Scuba Guru are very proud of the students that attended the PADI scuba diving certification Westfield NJ class.
