Six Fast-Learning Students
All six students did superb in the PADI Scuba Diving Certification In Union County NJ class. It was a sunny Saturday and Sunday and all skills were completed in a timely manner. The weather was very nice at Dutch Springs Scuba Park and we set up our gear on the peninsula side of the quarry. We began our dive briefing and tried to get most of the dive flexible skills out of the way. There was one student who had an issue with the mask flooding a clearing skill but we helped her overcome her phobia in the confined water class by dedicating a little bit of private time to her. Once we got to the quarry to do the skills at twenty five feet, everything flowed smoothly and was successful.
Initial Skills Were Done
We all managed to get all the mask skills done in the first two checkout dives to eliminate the stress of doing the skill and be able to enjoy the sunny two days. The PADI Scuba Diving Certification In Union County NJ class started out with a buoyancy check at the surface to get properly weighted. Some students were slightly over weighted but that was adjusted on the second dive by taking off two pounds in the bcd’s.
Fun Dive Saved For The End
After completing all the necessary skills, the fourth dive was a fun dive to the crane wreck off of the peninsula side and we dropped down with a free decent off the west dock. Although the visibility at the crane wreck was compromised from previous students scuffing up the area with their fins, we all managed to stay together as a team and come back successfully with a three minute safety stop.
