Open Water Scuba Certification NJ
The Open Water Scuba Certification NJ class held on March 13th, 2015 was a great day of productivity. We first began the day with the three hundred yard mask, fins, booties and snorkel swim test followed by the ten minute water thread.
Assisted By Our Divemaster
The team was assisted by our PADI Divemaster candidate, Jaimie, who assisted with the skills and also took pictures and videos to record the students’ progress throughout the day.
Class Progressed Steadily
The first skills we did were the shallow water skills such as the snorkel to regulator exchange, bcd inflation at the surface and hand signals. Everyone mastered these skills with ease. As the Open Water Scuba Certification NJ class proceeded, we moved onto the deeper water skills such as the fin pivot, hover and bcd removal and replacement at under water. These are skills that require good buoyancy and since the students were new to the skills, it took some time for them to get acclimated. But, rest assured everyone caught on.
Question And Answer Period
We had enough time left over to cover any questions that the students had. Finally, we all changed out of our wet swim suits, broke down gear, washed it all out and broke for lunch. After lunch we covered all the academics for the Open Water Scuba Certification NJ class.
Dive Theory Portion
The knowledge reviews were first covered, followed by quizzes on each chapter. After a period of questions and answers, the final dive theory exam was issued whereby each student passed with flying colors. The Open Water Scuba Certification NJ class was a great success for all the students.
