Drysuits are what’s keeping you warm against the coldness of the water while scuba diving in New Jersey, and anywhere else in the world with colder climates, so if you want to extend your time submerged in the depths especially in cold waters, you need to have proper training and good solid experience in drysuit diving.
The PADI Drysuit Diver Specialty course allows you to practice your skills in a confined water setting. Once you have mastered it, you will then be given an opportunity to apply those skills in a real-life settings by doing two (2) open water dives before earning your PADI Drysuit Diver certification in NJ.
Repetitive scuba diving, long dives, deep diving or any form of diving that includes thermal heat loss are better done in drysuits. In the depths of the oceans, the water can be freezing cold, and if you are not properly protected, you are risking your safety and might suffer from hypothermia. With a drysuit on, you will increase your chances of survival underwater by keeping yourself warm amidst the coldness of the waters around you.
This certification counts towards your Master Scuba Diver certification.
