COURSE DETAILS

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification in NJ

During your PADI advanced open water certification in NJ course, you will need to complete a series of deep dives and underwater navigation dives. These are meant to give you practice and give you a confidence boost in terms of mastering your deep diving foundation skills.

You have a total of 15 adventure dives to choose from while you’re in training: check the local wreckage in the area, practice your search and recovery skills, dive deeper than you have before or opt to go night diving. Experience all these activities with the helpful guidance and supervision of your PADI instructor.

Once you have completed the PADI Advanced Open Water Certification in NJ for open water diving, it’s not merely sightseeing you can do, you will also be able to do a bunch of other new and exciting underwater activities like wreck diving, deep diving, digital underwater photography and a whole lot more!

Your scuba diving experience will become richer and more fun in so many ways. Also, if you get certified at this level, you will take a step closer to being a Master Scuba Diver — That’s the highest diving certification there is on the planet. How cool that would be?!

After your five Advanced Open Water dives in NJ, you will be more confident and comfortable in the water and enjoy your scuba dives more, simply because you will better understand and navigate the underwater environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT DO I NEED TO START?

You must be over 15 years of age and be a certified PADI Open Water Diver (or a holder of any equivalent certification from another professional diver’s training organization).

For Junior PADI Advanced Open Water Certification in NJ, you must be at least 12 years old and be a PADI certified Junior Open Water diver.

  • Prerequisite: Open Water Diver Certification

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

You will need to complete a total of five (5) open water dives.

You will be provided some learning materials (Adventures in Diving Crew-Pak, Logbook and a Diving Manual)

You can choose from a variety of adventure scuba diving options in NJ. Examples include: dry suit diving, night diving, multi level and computer diving, deep diving, wreck diving etc.

Each of your adventure scuba dives during the training course may be credited by your instructor towards the first scuba dive of the corresponding Specialty Diver’s course should you wish to proceed further.

WHAT DOES THE COURSE FEE INCLUDE?

  • Tuition fee
  • Study materials (Adventures in Diving Crew-Pak, Logbook and a Diving Manual)
  • Lifetime “PADI Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver” certification card
  • Students are required to have their own personal equipment: mask, fins, boots, gloves, snorkel, dive bag and a timing device.
