NJ Papua New Guinea Scuba Diving Trip 2014
Very Long Flight From North America
The NJ Papua New Guinea Scuba Diving Trip 2014 was a rewarding experience. After 30+ hours of flying with 5 different flight connections each way and over 11,000 miles each way, I finally checked off the bucket list of scuba diving in Papua New Guinea.
Great Biodiversity
With regard to the NJ Papua New Guinea scuba diving trip 2014, the biodiversity in the water was immense and Kimbe Bay and the Bismarck Sea had a lot to offer. The liveaboard (The Febrina) was very hospitable and the staff of the Febrina and Walindi Plantation made you feel welcomed. I was lucky to have a cabin for myself because there were only 6 divers on the boat.
Walindi Resorts And The Febrina
We stayed on Walindi Plantation in a bungalow which was a pleasant experience. Walindi Resort gave you that rustic feeling of being in Papua New Guinea with all the amenities that a tourist would look for. I was also able to make a few good friends while I was there and will keep in touch with them. The scuba diving over there was stellar. We saw grey tip reef sharks, barracudas and all different types of big fish. The average temperature of the water was 86 degrees fahrenheit. All in all, it was worth the crazy flights and baggage weight issues. If you ask if the trip all the way out there was worth it, the answer would have to be a “yes”. It was a once in a lifetime deal and I am glad I did it.
