Australia Scuba Diving Trip Of 2007

Original Reason For Visiting Australia

The Australia scuba diving trip of 2007 was the first time I visited Australia. I wanted to scuba dive the Great Barrier Reef and see it from a scuba diver’s perspective rather than viewing it from a glass bottom boat. That is when I got serious about scuba diving as a novice. Although I primarily visited Australia to see all the tourist sites such as Sydney Harbor rocks area, the Melbourne area in Victoria and made a short three day trip to Auckland, New Zealand, the Australia scuba diving trip of 2007 opened new doors in terms of scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Cairnes, Australia.

Introduction To Underwater Beauty

It introduced me to the beauty of the Coral Sea and the possibility of international scuba diving. I realized that although more than seventy percent of the world is composed of water, the different oceans of the world had something different to offer. So, I embarked on a journey to scuba dive the world. While I was in Cairnes, the  Australia scuba diving trip of 2007  was composed of day-boat scuba diving on the Great Barrier reef. Although the idea of liveaboard scuba diving did exist, I was unfamiliar with the technicalities of it.

Day Dive Operation Used

I used the Tusa Diving operation located in the center of Cairnes. The diving was amazing in terms of the different types of fish and different colors. I was able to hold onto a live sea cucumber for the first time and the reefs were very bright colors that a camera shot could not give justice to. I was also able to experience the local flavor of tropical North Queensland and the amazing climate that it had to offer.

Nightlife In Cairnes

There was a lot of night life and places to eat in downtowm Cairnes and plenty for a tourist to do on land. I plan on visiting the Great Barrier Reef in the very near future but this time I am going to book a scuba diving liveaboard trip. The Australia scuba diving trip of 2007 was a great introduction to the the concept of world scuba diving for me.
